We are happy to announce that we are adding beef and chicken to the shares available at Farmers & Artisans. We are teaming with Kent Miller and his family from Plato Dale Farm in Arcade.
The beef is from Jersey steers raised on lush pasture and are Certified Grassfed by American Grassfed Association. To be certified grassfed, animals must be raised on pasture, where they can graze on an exclusive diet of grass and forage plants. Animals may not be fed grain or grain by-products, or receive hormone or antibiotic treatments of any kind. The selection of cuts will be somewhat seasonal with cuts for the grill in the summer and a transition to stew, roasts and braising cuts as the weather cools.
This subscription is for a period of six months. There will be a pickup once each month. This subscription will begin in early June.

The delicious chicken is raised on lush pasture, where they forage for the bulk of their food with any supplemental diet coming from certified organic grains. They are also hormone and antibiotic free. You have the ability to order whole or half chickens, boneless breasts, and leg quarters. Your order will be delivered fresh on the appointed dates.
There will be 6 pickups, about 1 each month. After you have selected the amount of chicken you need each month, the farm will produce the chicken specifically for your order. The first pick-up will be May 30.
