Heirloom Tomatoes

What is an “heirloom tomato”? Technically it is a variety that is open pollinated (as opposed to a hybrid). For practical purposes, this means that when you plant the seed of an heirloom tomato, the baby tomatoes will have most of the same yummy characteristics as the parent.
